Ayushmann Khurrana’s campus comedy-drama Doctor G released in the theaters on October 14. The film features Ayushmann Khurrana, Rakul Preet Singh and Shefali Shah. The film is directed by Anubhuti Kashyap. It is her first directorial venture.
Doctor G is a medical campus comedy film. It follows the struggle of a male gynecologist in a room full on women. Amit Trivedi, Amjad Nadeem Aamir and Sultan Sulemani compose the music of the film. Ketan Sodha composes the background score.
The film was released in theaters along with Parineeti Chopra’s Code Name: Tiranga and the Hindi dub version of Rishab Shetty’s Kannada hit Kantara.
Doctor G collects around Rs 3.25 crore at the box office on the first day.
In Doctor G, Ayushmann plays the role of a gynecologist while Shefali Shah and Rakul Preet Singh star as his fellow doctors.
Doctor G is far more better than Ayushmann Khurrana’s last release, Anek.
Its opening day collection is closer to his 2021 release Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui made on day one.
While Anek made just Rs 1.77 crore on its first day. Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui opened with Rs 3.75 crore.
According to a report of indian media, Doctor G’s Saturday collections will outline its overall performance at the box office in the coming days.
