Former Pakistan cricket team captain Shoaib Malik has said that Babar Azam should voluntarily leave the leadership.
In an exclusive conversation with Syed Yahya Hussaini in Geo News’ program Score, Shoaib Malik said that Babar is a great batsman. But we do injustice by putting his leadership skills and batting ability on the same scale.
Shoaib Malik says that it used to be 20 to 25 years ago, when one player would win the match with his individual performance, today it is not like that. You need four to five performers in the team.
He said that if he was in Babar Azam’s place, he would have distanced himself from the leadership and concentrated on his batting.

Former captain Shoaib Malik says that with this, Babar Azam can create many more international records and only the pressure will be limited to his batting.
“Babar Azam’s captaincy is still in the process of improvement and he needs a lot of time to mature, our culture is that we expect immediate results,” he said
