The death of Bilquis Edhi, mother of the nation and wife of world renowned personality Abdul Sattar Edhi in the field of public service has caused a wave of grief not only in Pakistan but also in India.
Leading Indian journalist released a memorable photo of Bilquis Edhi with Gita and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He said that this picture of Bilquis Edhi, Geeta and Prime Minister Modi was taken in 2015 in Delhi. The Indian journalist said that Pakistani philanthropist Bilquis Edhi had played a key role in the repatriation of Indian citizen Geeta.
He also wrote that after his death in Karachi, tributes are being paid to her from all over the world. Indian journalist Sadhant also released a photo of Geeta sitting with Abdul Sattar Edhi and Bilquis Edhi.
It may be recalled that in the past, Bilquis Edhi had played an extraordinary role in the return of the deaf and dumb Gita who came to Pakistan by mistake.
