Blind T20 World Cup: India denies to grant visa to Pakistan team

India denies to grant visas to Pakistan team for the Blind T20 World Cup on ‘political grounds’. The Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) says in a statement that India denies visas to the team for the tournament. Which will start from December 5 to 17 in India.

The statement says that unfortunately this incident put the PBC Team in trouble. Even though the national team was the runner-up in 2012 and 2017.

Earlier, the Indian newspaper ‘Indian Express’ reports that the Pakistani team will soon issues visas to participate in the competition.

Mahantesh Ji says that India’s Ministry of External Affairs is working on the matter. Who is the president of the Cricket Association for the Blind in India.

The official also expresses confidence that the team will get visas soon. As the match between the two teams is scheduled on December 7.

The PBCC clarifies in a statement today that Pakistan defeated the reigning champion team India 5 times in a row in the tri-series. In 2021 and 2022 and win both the tournaments.

The statement also says that there are clear chances that the final of the T20 World Cup will be between arch-rivals India and Pakistan. It is believed that the current Pakistani team was likely to win the World Cup.

PBCC says that according to available information, India denies to grant visas to Pakistan team on ‘political grounds’.

The statement further reveals that the PBCC condemns this discriminatory treatment by India. Because sports should be separate from the politics of the region.

The PBCC says that the Blind Cricket Association of India appeals to its government for clearance of the Pakistani players but it does not hear.

The statement further stats that the Indian government’s hatred towards Pakistan is also a violation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Individuals.

The PBCC says that the discriminatory move will have serious consequences for blind cricket at the global level. We will take strict action against them in World Blind Cricket. India may not be able to host international events in future.
