Burj Khalifa Lights Up to Mark 76th Pakistan Independence Day. The Pakistan flag proudly flown on the structure to commemorate Independence Day. After a video that went viral on social media showed the disappointment of many Pakistanis over the absence of their nation’s flag on the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the tallest building in the world.

Normally, the Pakistani flag lit up on the Burj Khalifa at midnight. But on August 14, it lit up around nine o’clock.

The Burj Khalifa’s official Instagram page wished the people of Pakistan a happy, peaceful, and prosperous day as they celebrated their heritage and accomplishments as a country.

The message also included wishes for Pakistan’s citizens’ continued prosperity and happiness. Happy Fourth of July!

Prior to this, a video from Dubai showed many Pakistanis upset over the Burj Khalifa’s failure to display the Pakistani flag at midnight on the country’s Independence Day. People gathered close to the Burj Khalifa in anticipation of spotting the colors of their respective flag on the structure.

To their surprise, however, the world’s tallest building remained unaffected even after a few minutes after midnight. They began chanting “Pakistan Zindabad,” which translates to “Long Live Pakistan,” in an effort to express their displeasure and support for their nation.

It was 12:01 am, according to a woman who recorded the event on her phone. And Dubai officials said they wouldn’t fly the Pakistani flag over the Burj Khalifa. She upset and believed it to a joke on all Pakistanis.

The striking visual celebration on the tallest building in the world became a potent representation of unity. Capturing the spirit of the occasion and bringing joy to those who were away from home and celebrating their country’s independence.
