According to News, the death toll from floods has exceeded 1,030 in the past 24 hours after endless rain across the country, 74 in Sindh, 31 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 1 in Punjab, 4 in Balochistan, 6 in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad. Kashmir, I also lost one life. The goods sent by Turkey comprise tents, medicine and other materials, whereas another shipment of aid is predictable to arrive soon.
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has reported 270 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours at a positivity rate of 1.6 per cent, News reported on Sunday, estimating the National Institute of Health (NIH). It is appropriate to mention here that a total of over 1.5 million Covid-19 cases have been reported in Pakistan so far, whereas the total number of coroanvirus-related deaths has reached 30,569.
The provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has allocated it’s 2 helicopters for the flood relief activities. Section 144 has been forced in district administration Malakand, in the nearby areas of Swat River and ordered the citizens to stay away from its range. Though, it has been appealed to the citizens to avoid traveling. Additionally, the flood water in Mohmand district from Mohmand Dam entered in the houses. Rescue 1122 and the commissioner assistant installed tents for the affected people in the safe localities.
PIA (Pakistan International Airline) has publicized to introduce relief operation to support flood victims trapped following heavy flood and rain victims. Talking throughout a briefing from PIA high ups, the minister urged all national institutions to join hands for integrated relief and rehabilitation of the flood victims.
Lahore: Punjab government on Friday recognized a Chief Minister Flood relief fund to help in the rescue, relief and restoration of flood-affected people of the province. The Punjab government is with the people in this hour of need, people need to come frontward and help others, the CM added. The CM ordered to fasten the operations in affected areas.
