Legal expert Justice Retired Shaiq Usmani says this while talking to Geo News’ program ‘Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Ke Sath‘.

In the same program, PLDAT head Ahmed Bilal Mehboob speaks that when the governor says, it becomes necessary to take a vote of confidence on the chief minister. Therefore, Pervaiz Elahi needs to obtain vote of confidence.
He also says that it is also a misconception that action will taken on the no-confidence motion on Friday.
Constitutional and legal expert Salman Akram Raja says that if the meeting of the provincial assembly does not hold, the governor can call a new meeting for the vote of confidence under clause 7 of article 130 of the constitution.
The PMLN was already working on both options to counter PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s announcement to dissolve the Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assemblies. If the chief minister fails to get a vote of confidence, he will lose the power to dissolve the assembly.
Later, Asif Zardari also met Chaudhry Shujaat and discussed the political situation in Punjab.
Federal Ministers Tariq Bashir Cheema and Chaudhry Salik also participated in the meeting.
Meanwhile, Chaudhry Shujaat confirmed that he is in touch with Shahbaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari but not with the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).
A day earlier, the PML-Q leader has been tasked to prevent the dissolution of the Punjab Assembly by the Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), informed sources have revealed.
