Commonwealth Games, Women’s T20 Cricket, India beat Pakistan by 8 wickets

In the Commonwealth Games Women’s T20 Cricket, the traditional rival India defeated Pakistan by 8 wickets after a one-sided contest in the important match, this is the second consecutive defeat of the Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team.

Pakistan captain Bisma Maruf won the toss and decided to bat first which proved to be wrong.

A change was made in the Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team, with Kainat Imtiaz replacing Nida Dar.

According to APP, the match between Pakistan and India women’s cricket teams in Birmingham got off to a late start due to bad weather, which was restricted to 18 overs.

The national women’s team was bowled out for 99 runs in the stipulated 18 overs, with Muniba Ali being the top scorer with 32 runs.

No player could compete with the Indian bowlers. Alia Riaz 18, captain Bisma Maruf 17, Aram Javed Safar, Umima Sohail 10, Fatima Sana 8, Diana Baig Safar, Ayesha Naseem 10, Tobia Hassan one and Kainat Imtiaz 2 scored runs and returned back to the pavilion.

India’s Sunya Rana and Radha Yadav took two wickets each. In response, the Indian women’s cricket team achieved the target of 100 runs in 11.4 overs with the loss of 2 wickets.

India’s opening batsman Sumitri Mandhana showed aggressive batting and played an unbeaten innings of 63 runs, he was named man of the match.

India also got 2 valuable points by beating Pakistan. The national team will play its third match against Australia on August 3.
