The Election Commission of Pakistan has issued Invitation letter to foreign observers for the upcoming general elections in Pakistan.
According to ECP, there is an open door policy for domestic and foreign observers for the transparency of the elections.
In its invitation, the Election Commission has said that the foreign observers should submit the information on the ‘Pakistan Online Portal’ of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to get the visa soon. The accreditation forms can downloaded from the website of the Election Commission.
According to the ECP, accreditation will not issued to those with political affiliations. Security clearance is mandatory for foreign observers.
In the invitation letter issued by the Election Commission, it is said that foreign observers will submit a report on elections irregularities. Foreign observers can also give suggestions to improve the election process in the report.
