Elephant Noor Jehan will be buried in Karachi Zoo

Ailing elephant Noor Jehan, who was under treatment after collapsing in its pen at Karachi Zoo around a week ago, passed away on Saturday.

Administrator Karachi Dr. Saifur Rehman says that elephant Noor Jehan will buried in Karachi Zoo.

In a statement issued from Karachi, he has said that an autopsy will be conducted on Noor Jahan to find out the cause of death.

Administrator Karachi said that after the post-mortem of the elephant, the report will also share with media. The reports of not feeding the animals are false.

Noor Jehan, a 17-year-old African elephant, had undergone emergency treatment for a tumour in Karachi on April 5 but had collapsed days later.

He further states that we fill determine those who are responsible for the delay in the treatment of Jehan. The inquiry is ongoing in this regard.

Administrator Karachi Dr. Saifur Rahman also says that the elephants of the safari park are safe. The elephants will shifted to the safari park Madhubala. We have completed the arrangements regarding the transportation.

It should noted that Noor Jahan, the elephant of Karachi Zoo, died yesterday after being ill for a long time.
