Federal government approves 4 holidays on Eid-ul-Fitr

The federal government has approved Eid-ul-Fitr holidays from April 10 to April 13.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has approved 4 holidays on Eid-ul-Fitr.

The Cabinet Division has also issued the notification for these holidays after getting the approval of the Prime Minister.

Meanwhile, according to astrologers, Eid-ul-Fitr is likely to happen on April 10.

According to the notification, there will be holidays from 10th to 13th April in the offices which are working 6 days a week.

The notification states that there will be a holiday from April 10 to 12 in the 5-day-a-week offices.

14th April is a Sunday so in effect the employees will have 5 days off.

Civil servants have criticized this decision saying that according to astronomers and meteorologists, Eid-ul-Fitr is likely to happen on April 10.

If the public holidays will start from 10th April, when will the employees go to their native areas?

He has appealed to the Prime Minister to start the holidays from April 9.
