Federal govt recommends Baligh-ur-Rehman as governor Punjab

The federal government has designated Baligh-ur-Rehman as the new representative of Punjab, Geo News detailed on Saturday.

The outline to supplant officeholder Senator Omar Sarfaraz Cheema with Rehman has been sent to President Arif Alvi.

Rehman, who hails from Bhawalpur, was chosen from the NA-185 voting public in 2008 and 2013. He had served as the state minister for instruction, insides and opiates control when Nawaz Sharif got to be prime minister after the PML-N’s triumph within the 2013 decisions.

After Nawaz Sharif’s evacuation, previous prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi included him in his cabinet and was made a federal minister with a portfolio of instruction and proficient preparing.
