South Korea fines Google and Meta platforms $72 million for alleged privacy law violations.
According to the International News Agency. The Personal Information Protection Commission issues a statement saying that Google will have to pay a fine of $50 million. Whereas Meta will have to pay 22 million dollars.
Google and Meta have been accused of using users’ personal information without permission. But Google and Meta have not responded to South Korea’s fines.

According to the Personal Information Protection Commission panel, the two firms did not inform users in advance why they were collecting personal information when collecting the personal data.
