Abrar-ul-Haq made the announcement after Indian filmmaker Kiran Johar stole his song and included it in the upcoming film ‘Jugjugg Jiyo’.

Speaking to a local journalist, Abrar-ul-Haq lamented that his song was stolen by Indian filmmakers and at the same time said that his third or fourth song had been stolen.

The singer said that in the past when his songs were stolen, he was very happy that Indians stole his song and included it in the film but now that digital media is in vogue and Indians are earning billions from his songs so this is unacceptable.

He said that people of Bollywood earn billions of rupees by spending billions of rupees on movies but they do not have creativity, they do not have good music composers.

He termed the act of stealing his song ‘Nach Punjaban Nach’ by Karan Johar and his team as inappropriate and wrong and said that people told him that his song was stolen.

In response to a question, Abrar-ul-Haq clarified that he neither sold the copyrights of ‘Nach Punjaban Nach’ nor did he allow the song to be included in the Indian film.

He said he had consulted his lawyers in India, Pakistan and the United Kingdom after the song was stolen, and would soon launch legal action against the Indian team for the song.

He clarified that he has not yet thought about how much money he will sue for compensation, it is possible that he will demand a lot of money and it is also possible that he will give the singing rights to the Indians on a trivial matter.

He said that he might give a song to the Indians as a gift against the slogan of Kashmir independence.

Abrar-ul-Haq said that if the actors of his stolen song film used the slogan that Kashmir is free then they would give him the song as a gift.

Abrar-ul-Haq’s song ‘Nach Punjaban Nach’ is included in Karan Johar’s upcoming film ‘JugJugg Jiyo’, the trailer of which was released a few days ago.

The song was released by Abrar-ul-Haq in 2002 under the same name in his music album, which was later filmed in the Pakistani film ‘Kun Banega Crorepati’ starring Babar Ali, Muammar Rana and actress Noor.

However, the Indian music company T-Series has claimed that it has bought the copyrights of ‘Nach Punjaban Nach’ from a YouTube channel called ‘One Movie Box’.

According to the T-series, the song ‘Nach Punjaban Nach’ was first released on iTunes on January 1, 2002, which was later released on a channel called ‘Lollywood Wood Classic’ owned by the YouTube channel ‘One Movie Box’ and acquired the copyrights of ‘Nach Punjaban Nach’ from the said company.
