International Monetary Fund – IMF delegation will visit Pakistan at the end of January. In this regard, sources in the Ministry of Finance says that the IMF will inform the schedule of its delegation’s visit to Pakistan early next week.
According to sources, the IMF delegation will meet officials of various departments during the visit.
Finance Ministry sources says, the IMF delegation will also meet officials of Finance, Trade, Energy, Industry and Production, FBR, State Bank, NEPRA and OGRA.

According to sources, the IMF delegation will also visit the four provincial capitals.
IMF delegation will visit Pakistan at the end of January. During the visit make recommendations after the ninth review of the program. And after that a decision will be taken on releasing the next tranche for Pakistan.
An official told the media that the government has completed the implementation of the four demands of the IMF as outlined by the fund officials at a meeting on the sidelines of the Geneva meeting.
Another official said that Pakistan cannot afford to fail to negotiate with the international lender as it could have a negative impact on the country.
The IMF approved the seventh and eighth reviews together last August and released more than $1.1 billion.
