Imran Khan arrest: Security high alert in Islamabad & Rawalpindi. In anticipation of protests over the arrest of the PTI chairman, police have raised the level of security alert in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

After a court today found the former prime minister guilty of “corrupt practices” in the Toshakhana case and sentenced him to three years in prison. He taken into custody from his Zaman Park residence in Lahore.

According to a police spokesperson, the Federal Police has issued a security high alert for Islamabad.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has also put the Rawalpindi Police on high alert. With special instructions to police to deal with potential protests.
