Imran Khan denies rumours of ‘meeting’ in Lahore

Imran Khan denies rumours of ‘meeting’ in Lahore amid party’s long march towards Islamabad, News reported on Saturday.

Taking to his official Twitter handle, the previous premier wrote:

Previous in the day, reported that the federal government starts backdoor talks with PTI leaders in light of the party’s continuing Haqeeqi Azadi Long March.

Rendering to sources, the backdoor talks between government agents and PTI leaders carried out through ‘close friends’.

Sources told ARY News that President Dr Arif Alvi playing an important role in the negotiations between the Imran Khan-led party and the government. Imran Khan in favor of finalizing the long march, sources added.

Throughout the backdoor talks, sources requested that the date for general elections discussed. As second round of negotiations held tomorrow.

A day previous, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif constituted Federal Cabinet Committee to attack the PTI’s long march.

The cabinet body ruled by Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah and contains of nine members. The committee for the long march constituted to maintain the law and order and hold political dialogue.
