Many important leaders of PTI are not happy with the announcement of Nov 24 as the date for the protest in Islamabad by the Imran Khan.
After Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan and her lawyer met the former prime minister in Adiala jail, senior party leaders reached out to each other after announcing the date of the protest. These leaders were not happy with Imran Khan’s announcement in their interaction.
Sources in the party say they have discussed the matter and will consider discussing the matter with Imran Khan in the next few days and persuading him to withdraw the protest call.
A senior party leader said on condition of anonymity that we will make another attempt and Imran Khan will be advised to withdraw the protest call.
The News has the names of Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders who are not happy with Imran Khan’s decision to hold a Do or Die protest on November 24. However, party sources told this correspondent that if The News published the names of these leaders, they would be vilified on PTI’s social media.
These leaders of the party are not ordinary but top leaders, some of them are quite tough in public but behind the scenes, they are among the wise personalities of PTI who are under the pressure of party social media. are A source said that Imran Khan needs better advice, not only has November 24 been chosen for such a protest and sit-in in haste, but there are also many logistical problems in addition to security.
Even though the number of protestors participating in the dharna at D Chowk is 1000, how will they be given food? How will the washrooms be arranged? Logistics becomes a big problem when the security guards are sitting at D Chowk to stop your arrival.
Sources said that Imran Khan needs to understand that such a protest not only threatens to arrest Bushra Bibi again, but it will also prolong Imran Khan’s stay in jail. Imran Khan has already gotten relief from the courts in several cases, as things progress, if he is convicted in the 190 million pounds case, he may get relief from the High Court in a few months.
Sources say that this is the last case against Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi and despite the complaints, the courts are giving us relief. A leader while talking to The News expressed regret that if the establishment had contacted Imran Khan, there would have been no such protest.
Imran Khan’s lawyer and sister said on Wednesday that Imran Khan has announced a protest march to Islamabad on November 24. Lawyer Faisal Chaudhry told reporters in Rawalpindi on Wednesday that while Imran Khan says this is the last call for [anti-government] protests, the PTI founder has stressed that the entire leadership of the party will be part of the march.
Faisal Chaudhry said that this protest will not only take place in Islamabad but across the country and the world wherever Imran’s supporters are present. The lawyer said that the founder of the party had also formed a committee for the march and said that the names of those involved in it should not be disclosed because Imran Khan was afraid that they would be arrested.
The News had earlier reported on Wednesday that Chairman Imran Khan wanted a date for a do-or-die protest and a possible sit-in in Islamabad, but was being persuaded by senior leaders in his party that proper planning was necessary. And if any such protest is announced without considering the pros and cons, the matter may turn upside down.
