Today, the 75th Independence Day is being celebrated with great enthusiasm across the country.
A cannon salute was given at the beginning of the day, on this occasion the air echoed with the slogan Takbeer.
In the Fajr prayer, special prayers were offered for national development, unity, peace and prosperity.
On the occasion of Independence Day, a grand ceremony of changing of the guard was held at Mazar-e-Quaid.
Earlier, the Independence Day started late at night in different cities with fireworks, national anthems and green crescent flags.
Various cities including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Faisalabad, Multan, Gujranwala, Hyderabad, Quetta and Peshawar witnessed the start of Independence Day.
Young people took to the streets with green crescent flags and flags.
Streets, highways, intersections have been decorated with electric lanterns, while government buildings have been illuminated.
