India lost to Bangladesh in the second consecutive ODI. Bangladesh win the 3-match series by defeating India in the second ODI in a row. Thanks to Mehdi Hasan Miraz’s century and 2-wicket all-round performance.
In the second match of the 3-match series played in Mirpur. Bangladesh win the toss and decide to bat first. But failed to set up a big score against a strong batting team like India. But successfully defended their score.
Initially, 6 players of Bangladesh out for only 69 run. In which captain Liton Das 7, opener Inamul Haq 11 and Najamul Hus Shanto returned to the pavilion after scoring 21 runs.
Experienced all-rounder Shakib-ul-Hasan’s innings was limited to 8 runs. Wicket-keeper Mushfiq-ur-Rahim’s innings was limited to 12 runs.
Mohammad Siraj and Imran Malik take the first three wickets for India.
Mahmudullah and Mehdi Hasan Miraz pull the team out of the quagmire where the last wicket fell to Afif Hussain for 69 runs.
The two batsmen put up a brilliant partnership to take Bangladesh’s score to 217 runs in 46 overs. Both the batsmen also complete their half-centuries.
Mahmudullah was the seventh and last batsman to be dismissed, hitting 77 off 96 balls with 7 fours.
From the other end, Mehdi Hasan Miraz continues his brilliant batting and completes his century.
Bangladesh scores 271 runs for 7 wickets in the 50 overs. India lost to Bangladesh in the second consecutive ODI.
Mehdi Hasan Miraz scores an unbeaten 100 runs, Naseem Ahmed plays an innings of 18 runs.
Washington Sundar takes the most 3 wickets for India. Mohammad Siraj and Imran Malik get 2 and 2 wickets respectively.
Indian Team Batting
Star batsman Virat Kohli opens the innings with Shikhar Dhawan. But both the experience batsmen fail and dismissed for 5 and 8 runs respectively.
India’s Shreyas Iyer certainly plays an innings of 82 runs off 102 balls. But from the other end Washington Sundar and KL Rahul could not stay on the wicket for long. They score 11 and 14 runs respectively and fell victim to Shakib Al Hasan and Mehdi Hasan Miraz.
Akshar Patel scores 56 runs off 56 balls with the help of 2 fours and 3 sixes. He gives the Indian team hope of victory, but Ibadat Hussain make him catch by Shakib Al Hasan.
With Shirdal Thakur 7 and Deepak Chahar getting out for 11 runs, India’s score was 213 runs for 8 wickets in 45 overs. While captain Rohit Sharma was standing at the other end.
India were 252 for 9 in 49 overs thanks to a half-century from captain Rohit Sharma. The last batsman out was Mohammad Siraj, who added just 2 runs.

Captain Rohit Sharma tried his best to lead the team to victory, but at the end of 50 overs, the score reached 266 runs.
Rohit Sharma scores 51 runs without getting out. Imran Malik does not get a chance to bat.
Bangladesh bowler Ibad Hussain guided 3 Indian batsmen to the pavilion, Mehdi Hasan Miraz took 2 wickets and Mustafizur Rahman took 1 wicket.
Bangladesh won the match by 5 runs and took a decisive lead in the series. Mehdi Hasan Miraz was declared the best player of the match.
Earlier on December 4, Bangladesh defeated India by one wicket in the first ODI to clinch the series lead.
The third match of the series will be played on December 10 in Chittogram.
