The Indian cricket team in Australia for the T20 World Cup was unhappy after seeing unexpected food on the sidelines of practice.
According to Indian media, some cricketers did not eat after training. They went back to the hotel from practice and ordered food in their rooms.
According to reports, sandwiches and fruits were available during the training. However, when the training ended in the afternoon, the cricketers were expecting a full menu lunch.
Indian media say that the cricketers did not get hot food at lunch time. Which made them unhappy and decided to go back.
The official of the Indian team says that no cricketer boycotted. Some took sandwiches and some took falafel, some cricketers took fruits. Some cricketers wanted a full lunch and some decided to return to their rooms and eat.
According to the team official, rules are same for all countries, ICC does not provide hot food in lunch after training, host association arranges hot Indian food in mutual series.
The team official says in this regard that cricketers cannot eat cold sandwiches with tomatoes and cucumbers that are not grilled after a 2-hour session.
