Irani President Dr. Ibrahim Raisi arrived in Pakistan on a 3-day official visit, accompanied by his wife, the Iranian Foreign Minister, cabinet members, senior officials, and businessmen.
Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi was received by Federal Minister Riyaz Pirzada.
Meetings with Iranian President Dr. Ibrahim Raisi, President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir, and other officials are scheduled.
The Iranian President will also visit Lahore and Karachi.
A public holiday has been declared on April 23 in Karachi on the arrival of the distinguished guest.
According to the spokesperson of the Foreign Office, in the meetings, there will be discussions on strengthening Pak-Iran relations, trade, energy, agriculture, people-to-people interactions, and bilateral cooperation to deal with the common threat of terrorism.
The spokesperson of the Foreign Office says that the visit of Iranian President Dr. Ibrahim Raisi will provide an important opportunity to further strengthen bilateral relations.
