Islamabad: Inauguration of Green and Blue Lines bus service

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif inaugurated the Green and Blue Lines modern bus service in the federal capital and also announced to provide free service for one month.

Addressing the inaugural function of the Green and Blue Line bus service project in Islamabad, the Prime Minister said that he is happy that the people of Islamabad and Rawalpindi would be provided with transport facilities.

We are grateful to the people working on the project, the nation is demanding an answer for the 4 year delay, the CDA chairman should rectify the past delays and shortcomings.

The Prime Minister said that people from all walks of life would benefit from this project, all should work together to overcome the delays of the past, all institutions should work hard to serve the suffering humanity.

Shahbaz Sharif said that thank God that petrol prices have come down globally otherwise millions of people were worried because of high prices globally, rising oil and gas prices kept worrying the world.

The Prime Minister said that inflation has been going on in the country for the last 4 years, the common man works day and night for his living and with great difficulty feeds his children, we should pray that global oil and lower gas prices so that the people get some relief from inflation, hopefully the reduction in petrol prices will bring some relief to the people.

He said that today I have a very important meeting in which important decisions and measures related to the supply of cheap electricity including solar energy will be considered.

Solar energy projects will save the lives of the people from expensive electricity.

He said that we want to take similar steps for the whole of Pakistan at the federal level as the Punjab Chief Minister has taken for free electricity supply.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that in 75 years, political parties and dictators have not benefited the country, they will make progress through hard work, public welfare projects are the priority of the government, petroleum products worth 20 billion are imported annually. The previous governments made very poor plans.

He said that he was grateful to those who worked hard for the completion of the projects.

Shahbaz Sharif further said that they are ensuring transparency in the implementation of development projects, monitor public projects in the same way that they do for their children.

The Prime Minister said that the country is mired in debt but we will face the challenges together.

Our government is working for the betterment of the economy, public welfare projects are the top priority of the government.
