ATTOCK: The court of district and judicial magistrate Attock on Wednesday handed over journalist Imran Riaz Khan to Rawalpindi police, ARY News reported.
Publicizing the reserved judgment, magistrate Yasir Tanvir said he cannot hear the case as it has beyond his jurisdiction. After the judgment of the magistrate, Attock police left for Rawalpindi with the journalist.
Speaking to newsmen, Mian Ali Ashfaq, the lawyer of Imran Riaz said, the court heard the case with tolerance and said in its judgment that it cannot pass judgment in the case as it does not fall in its ambit.
Now the case taken into the court of Rawalpindi, he added.

Previously in the day, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) wrapped up a request seeking the recovery of journalist Imran Riaz Khan. Who arrested from the Islamabad toll plaza, despite court orders in contradiction of his arrest.
Throughout contempt of court proceedings at the IHC. Chief Justice of the high court Athar Minallah told by Riaz’s counsel that his client arrested within the limits of Islamabad.
“The IG Punjab, IG Islamabad, and deputy commissioner Islamabad guilty of contempt of court.” The requester said and demanded the instant release of his client.
The Punjab police throughout the hearing presented the report to the IHC chief justice disagreeing that the arrest made within the limits of Punjab province and now the matter relates to Lahore High Court.
CJ IHC Athar Minallah directed the applicant to approach Lahore High Court and get clarity on the jurisdiction. “It is now up to the Lahore High Court to decide if the arrest made in a legal manner or not.” He said while disposing off the appeal.
On Tuesday, the journalist taken into custody by the legations of Rangers and police. Speaking to ARY News, Mian Ali Ashfaque, the lawyer of Imran Riaz Khan said his client taken into custody from Islamabad Toll Plaza.
He said as per strong directions of the Islamabad High Court. Imran Riaz Khan cannot taken into custody and called the arrest as disapproval of court.
