Judiciary has done everything in the last 24 hours to give unprecedented relief to Imran Khan, whether it was possible or not, but as a result of this whole process, by sprinkling salt on the wounds of Pakistan Army. It severely damaged which is already facing a difficult situation.
In the political circles and the media, there are discussions and debates on the judicial, legal and political aspects of the special behavior of the Islamabad High Court and the Supreme Court for Imran Khan.
However, there is no discussion on the issue of what must be going on in the hearts of those who risk their lives to fight against terrorists and protect the borders of the country. The issue is not why and how Imran Khan released or given full protection from future arrests.
What is painful for the soldiers and their families is that the judiciary has not even taken notice of the recent attacks by PTI protesters on defense installations, buildings, monuments, symbols, etc. Imran Khan has not even reprimanded. Instead, the judges gave the impression that they delighted to have Imran Khan in their court. The judges only requested Imran Khan to express some regret. But he didn’t. Later, Imran Khan did not condemn even during the conversation with the journalists.
He did not even express regret or remorse for what his party did to Pakistan and the Pakistan Army. Instead, he warned that if he caught again, there would be a backlash.
It was expecting that Imran Khan would apologize to the nation and every soldier after the attacks by party supporters on military buildings, symbols, memorial statues, etc. and strongly condemn those party workers and leaders who directly or indirectly contributed to these incidents of sabotage. But, Imran Khan did not.
On the contrary, after getting extraordinary relief from the judiciary, Imran Khan directly blamed the army chief and held him responsible for his arrest.
He has been criticizing an ISI major general for months but when asked by a journalist today about the security officials, he said that only one person is responsible, the army chief.
Imran Khan has been saying that the institution of Pakistan Army is important for the survival of Pakistan.
He used to say that the army was more important than his own life. However, he conveniently ignores the fact that his anti-army narrative (which he says is only about a few generals) has led to his party workers protesting against the army. Attacked and smashed everything in sight. It was an attack on Pakistan Army in every way.
To make matters worse, audio leaks of some PTI leaders have surfaced in which they can heard saying that the attacks on military buildings were part of a pre-planned strategy.
May 9 was indeed a black day for Pakistan and Pakistan Army. The wounds inflicted on that day were deep and heartbreaking because the attackers were our own people.
It is generally said about Imran Khan that he has poisoned politics. But recent events show that they have poisoned the minds of their workers against Pakistan Army.
Imran Khan should correct the issues and not make more insults. He should realize that this is dangerous not only against Pakistan but also against Pakistan Army. And these things are not going to help Imran Khan and his politics.
