Kaira: No plan to extend date for general elections

Kaira: No plan to extend date for general elections. Qamar Zaman Kaira, the prime minister’s advisor on Kashmir issues, stated on Monday that the government has no plans to move up the date and time of the general elections.

Speaking to a private television channel, Kaira stated that “everything is going on smoothly and we didn’t see any emergency in Pakistan.”

The current government’s term will end after mid-August, according to Qamar Zaman Kaira, who also stated that elections should take place in October or the first week of November.

When asked about Nawaz Sharif’s meeting with Pakistani politicians, he responded that it was a common occurrence in Dubai.

He added that political leaders might discuss the political agenda for Pakistan in the future.

Regarding Nawaz Sharif’s participation in the upcoming elections, he stated that the former prime minister ought to vote in general elections.

In response to a query regarding DG ISPR’s press conference, he stated that the military had made it abundantly clear that everyone is equal before the law.

He claimed that the army had also stated that no one in this nation is above the law.
