Kh Asif: Govt not considering ban on PTI

Kh Asif: Govt not considering ban on PTI. The federal government is not considering issuing a ban on the Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), according to Defense Minister Khawaja Asif on Monday.

In a statement, Khawaja Asif said that although the federal government no plans to outlaw PTI, those responsible for the events of May 9 not pardoned.

He criticized the PTI chief for not yet denouncing the events of May 9 and promising legal action taken against those accountable. He claimed that the protesters intended to retaliate violently after Imran Khan taken into custody.

Also, he also claimed that PTI had broadcast fabricated news reports critical of the administration. During the violent protests, the Pakistani Army, he continued, showed patience.

The defense minister also defended the detention of PTI women political workers, asserting that the female political activists instigating the violent demonstrations and prosecuted.
