LHC disposed of Yasmin Rashid’s Petition

The Lahore High Court disposed of Yasmin Rashid’s petition to stop the government’s alleged interference in the by-elections.

The court directed the petitioner to approach the Election Commission.

Justice Shahid Jameel heard the petition of PTI leader Yasmeen Rashid.

Yasmin Rashid’s petition claimed that the government was interfering in the elections despite the order of the Supreme Court.

The apex court directed the petitioner to approach the Election Commission, to which Yasmin Rashid’s lawyer Ahmed Owais said that the ECP also had a request for transfer pending but the ECP did not decide.

Disposing of the petition, the apex judge said that if any petition related to Yasmin Rashid’s by-election was pending, the Election Commission should decide it.
