‘Ms Marvel’ is likely to feature the Pakistani song ‘Peechay Hutt’

There are reports that Cook Studio Season 14’s song ‘Peechay Hutt’ is likely to be released in the web series ‘Miss Marvel’ of the first hijab-wearing Muslim Pakistani superhero girl which will be released soon.

“Peechay Hutt” was included in this year’s Coke Studio season, sung by young singers Hassan Rahim, Talat Qureshi and Justin Babes.

“Peechay Hutt” was well-received by Justin Babes, the sisters who imitated Canadian singer Justin Bieber, and now there are reports that the same song has been included in the upcoming web series “Miss Marvel”.

The BBC journalist Haroon Rasheed revealed in his tweet that the web series ‘Miss Marvel’ based on Pakistani superhero character ‘Kamala Khan’ includes not only the song ‘Peechay Hutt’ but also dialogues of Bollywood movies included.

He said that he watched two episodes of “Miss Marvel” and enjoyed watching the South Asian rep in the web series.

The journalist wrote that the web series includes not only the hilarious dialogues of Shah Rukh Khan’s famous films but also the song ‘Peechay Hutt’ by Hassan Rahim, Talat Qureshi and Justin Babes.

Miss Marvel is expected to be released worldwide, including in the US, on June 8 next year on Disney Plus, but will be shown in cinemas in Pakistan as there is no such streaming website.

Sharmeen Obaid Chennai, one of the directors of the said web series, had said earlier this month that Marvel Studios would make a 6-episode cinema format version of ‘Miss Marvel’ for cinemas in Pakistan, which was divided into 3 parts.

He said that the first and second episodes would be released on June 16, the third and fourth episode on June 30 and the fifth and sixth episode on July 14.

The main story of the ‘Miss Marvel’ web series revolves around a 16-year-old superhero girl named Kamala Khan, a girl of Pakistani descent who lives in Jersey City.

Kamala is a passionate artist, an avid gamer, and a fan of fiction, a big fan of Avengers and especially Captain Marvel but before gaining superpowers Kamala Khan always struggled to find her place in the world.
