Murad Ali Shah: Cyclone Biparjoy to landfall on June 15. In order to assess the situation as Cyclone Biparjoy loomed over the coast of Sindh, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah traveled to the coastal town of Shah Bandar in the Sujawal district on Monday, according to News.
Nasir Shah, the local government minister for Sindh, and Sohail Rajput, the chief secretary, accompanied the chief minister.
The residents of the village of Bhugra Memon in Badin’s Zero Point evacuated, Commissioner Hyderabad informed the chief minister during a briefing. “Around 50,000 people relocated to safer locations from villages near Shah Bandar, Jati, and Keti Bandar.”
The Sindh CM informed that “last night, about 2,000 people evacuated from islands adjacent to Shah Bandar.”
The chief minister informed that a storm surge of 4-5 meters (13 to 16 feet) anticipated at the land falling point, and that the water would overflow deeply into the ground and could inundate low-lying settlements.
According to the commissioner, instead of June 13 or 14, the cyclonic storm could make landfall on June 15 due to a slight decrease in speed.

The CM informed that after the cyclone made landfall on June 15, its impact would begin to fade by June 17 or 18.
Deputy Speaker Rehana Laghari, MPAs Muhammad Ali Malkani and Heer Soho, and other elected representatives welcomed Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah earlier when he arrived, along with the D.G. Rangers, Commissioner Hyderabad, DIG Hyderabad, DC Sujawal, and other officials.
