NAB files Tosha Khana reference against Imran Khan and others
Informed sources have expressed the expectation that the Tosha Khana reference may be filed in the Accountability Court of Islamabad this week.
Sources have said that the investigation in this matter has been completed and the top management of the burea has decided to file a corruption reference against Imran Khan after consultation with the prosecutor.
This will be the second corruption reference filed by NAB against Imran Khan in the accountability court.
A few days ago, NAB filed a corruption reference against Imran Khan, his wife Bushra Bibi and others in the Al-Qadir Trust case. Before NAB’s intervention, Imran Khan had been affected by the Tosha Khana scandal twice before.

On October 21, 2022, Imran Khan was disqualified from the National Assembly for five years by the Election Commission because he was found guilty of concealing the truth in the matter of selling expensive gifts.
A five-member bench headed by the Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan gave this decision and for not revealing the truth, it was decided to initiate proceedings against Imran Khan under the Criminal Code.

The government refused to respond, saying it would affect relations with other countries.
The journalist filed a complaint with the Federal Information Commission as the Cabinet Division had refused to provide Tosha Khana information on Imran Khan. The Commission directed the Cabinet Division to provide information to the petitioner under the Right to Information Act.
However, the Imran Khan-led government failed to comply, and the petitioner approached the High Court to enforce the decision of the Federal Information Commission.
