New Zealand beat Pakistan in the second T20 match as well and took a 2-0 lead in the 5-match series.
In the second T20 match played in Hamilton today, New Zealand had given Pakistan a target of 195 runs to win, in response to which the Pakistan team was bowled out for 173 runs in 19.3 overs.
In Hamilton, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl first against New Zealand.
On Pakistan’s invitation, Finn Allen and Dion Conway opened the innings for New Zealand and batted fast from the start.
The two openers formed a partnership to take the team’s total to 59 in 5.1 overs after Dion Conway was caught out by Aamir Jamal for 20 runs.
Later, Kane Williamson and Finn Allen also formed a partnership with a high run rate and took the team score to 111 in 10 overs, during which Finn Allen also completed his half-century.
After the completion of half of the innings, captain Kane Williamson was retired for 26 runs, after which Daryl Mitchell came to bat and he also scored runs quickly, but in the meantime, Pakistan managed to take the second wicket.
New Zealand’s second wicket fell to 137 in 12.5 overs when Osama Mir bowled Finn Allen for 74.

In the next over, New Zealand’s third wicket fell to 147 runs when Daryl Mitchell was bowled by Abbas Afridi for 17 runs.
New Zealand’s fourth wicket fell to 157 in 16.1 overs when Mark Chapman was caught out by Abbas Afridi.
