‘No-confidence movement’ against PM Imran Khan succeeds

ISLAMABAD: Opposition’s no-confidence movement against Prime Minister Imran Khan has been won by a majority of votes.

174 votes have been cast in favor of no-confidence movement excluding PTI deviant members .

Election of new Leader of the House will be held on Monday, April 11

According to the media reports, after the resignation of Asad Qaiser, the Speaker of the National Assembly, said that he would hand over the chairmanship of the Speaker to Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, a member of the Panel of Chairman.

After which Ayaz Sadiq, a member of the Panel of Chairman, presided over the National Assembly session.

Voting began on a no-confidence movement against Khan.

Ayaz Sadiq read out a no-confidence movement against the Prime Minister.

The doors of the Assembly were closed for voting.

Election of the new Leader of the House will be held on Monday, April 11.

Nomination papers were sought for the post of new Leader of the House.
