American Ambassador Donald Bloom has said that Pakistan is facing economic challenges of serious importance.
He says the IMF program is also a part of the same issue. And having recently concluded high-level trade and investment talks in Washington.
Donald Bloom says that senior-level energy, security, climate change talks are taking place this week. These talks are a follow-up to the Geneva talks.
The US ambassador added that Pakistan is facing human rights challenges like other countries. Pakistan will have to deal with these allegations.
Talking to the media in Islamabad, Donald Bloom said that the US wants Pakistan to find a way out of the difficult times. And is working to find a solution to Pakistan’s serious economic challenges in all sectors.

He also says that they are still partners with Pakistan, will continue to work to support Pakistan in the field of security.
Amid the massive exchange rate depreciation, the imposition of power surcharge and a 300 basis points a day increase in the policy rate. All eyes are now on a staff-level agreement with the IMF deal to avoid a default.
Sources say that on the IMF front, the Pakistani side informed by the IMF that they are not changing the goalposts of IMF deal. But the Pakistani authorities are delaying the much-needed structural reforms.
