Pakistan introduces WhatsApp-Like App. Syed Amin Ul Haque, the Federal Minister for Information Technology, introduced the homegrown messaging app “Beep Pakistan” at a launch event that highlighted the app’s importance for Pakistan’s IT sector.
‘Beep Pakistan’ will function as an internal communication tool between the Ministry of IT and Communication and the National Information Technology Board (NITB) during its initial 30-day trial phase. Then, the app made available to the general public across the nation after introduced to all government departments.
It emphasized by Minister Haque that the messaging app is completely secure. Pakistan is where the source code and servers for it are located.
The app comes with a number of features, such as data sharing, conference calling, and audio and video calling.
Syed Amin Ul Haque acknowledged that, despite the fact that some of the neighboring nations have already adopted substitute messaging services, Pakistan is moving in the right direction.

Minister Haque expressed gratitude for the National Information Technology Board’s (NITB) efforts and pride in the effective creation of Pakistan’s WhatsApp substitute.
