US Assistant Secretary of State Donald Lowe says that Pakistan is an important partner of America, and we are determined to strengthen Pakistan’s democratic institutions.

Donald Lowe said that Pakistan’s 2024 elections were closely examined, particularly concerned about incidents of violence before the elections, terrorist attacks on the police, politicians, and political gatherings before the elections.
He said that many journalists in Pakistan, especially female journalists, were harassed by party supporters. The International Election Observers Organization said that they were prevented from observing vote counting in almost half of the country’s constituencies.
Donald Lowe says that despite the order of the High Court, the mobile phone data service was stopped on election day, Pakistanis use social media and message applications from the mobile data service.
