Following the rise of Grammy Award-winning Arooj Aftab, a picture of Pakistani singer Mehak Ali has been posted on the Times Square billboard this month as an ambassador for the audio streaming service Spotify’s ‘Equal Pakistan’.
In her message on Twitter, singer Mehak Ali said that she reached Nankana Sahib from New York City with tears of joy flowing from her eyes.

Popular streaming service Spotify’s display of pictures of Pakistani women on Times Square aims to provide a platform for female creators to present their work to the international community, which encourages them.
Spotify is also offering a Ramadan Destination category consisting of praise and Naat, mystical words and recitation of the Holy Quran which has been updated with reference to the Pakistani audience.
This month, singer Mehak Ali was selected for the same purpose.
