A hearing holds in the Lahore High Court against the notification to remove Chief Minister Punjab Pervaiz Elahi from office.
Pervaiz Elahi challenged the removal notification by the Governor. Which heard by a 5-member bench headed by Justice Abid Aziz Shaikh of Lahore High Court.
The lawyer of the Governor of Punjab argues that the court give him enough time. His point was that adequate time was not given, the court had also opened the way for him to take a vote of confidence.
Justice Abid Aziz Shaikh, while giving remarks, says that the governor can ask for a vote of confidence . In the end it is the members who have to decide who can become the chief minister.
Justice Abid Aziz says that whether you want a decision on this point according to the law or are ready to take a vote of confidence.
