Pervaiz Elahi: Nawaz Sharif running campaign against Imran Khan. Previous Punjab chief minister (CM) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Pervaiz Elahi has said that Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Quaid Nawaz Sharif is running a smear operation beside Imran Khan and the judiciary although sitting abroad.
Earlier National Assembly (NA) Speaker Asad Qaiser and Senator Zeeshan Khanzada held a meeting with Pervaiz Elahi today in which they debated the political condition, of Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) elections.
Pervaiz Elahi said that Imran Khan has always valued law and the judiciary, while, the ‘ineligible’ rulers are now staining the democracy by requiring constitutional violations.
He said that the cases beside Imran Khan filed at the request of the ruling PML-N for political victimization.
The prior Punjab CM said that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) also revealed a lack of confidence in the ineligible rulers now trying to settle the Fund by dropping the inflation bomb on the nation.
He requested the current rulers to hold elections following the Supreme Court’s (SC) directives.
Also said that stopping political actions later in the announcement of the election schedule is beside the Constitution, the re-implementation of Article 144 in Lahore is unconstitutional and the punishment is Article 6.
The procedure of submission of nomination papers started, and all candidates go to submit papers in the form of rallies, how Section 144 applied in such a situation?
Pervaiz Elahi said that the fear of Imran Khan’s fame does not let the rulers sleep at night. At the order of the federal government, the caretaker Punjab government not permitting the election environment to form, the Constitution of Pakistan gives the right to all political parties to conduct political campaigns.
