Petrol increases by Rs 6.72 per liter

The government has increased the price of petrol. The price of petrol has been increased by 6 rupees and 72 paisa per liter.

The price of high speed diesel has been reduced by 51 paisa per liter. The price of light diesel oil has been reduced by 67 paisa while the price of light diesel oil has been increased by 43 paisa per liter.

According to the new prices, the price of petrol has increased to 233 rupees 91 paisa per liter, the price of high speed diesel has increased to 244 rupees 44 paisa per liter, kerosene oil has increased to 199 rupees 40 paisa and the price of light diesel oil has increased to 191 rupees 75 paisa per liter.

The new prices have been implemented from August 16. According to the notification of the Ministry of Finance, the prices of petroleum products have been revised according to the fluctuation of oil prices in the world market and the value of the rupee.

OGRA had recommended a reduction to Rs 15 per liter. Sources said that the prices of petroleum products have been determined keeping in mind the average value of the dollar. The price had to be increased.
