The official procedure is that the notification of revise prices is issue around 12 midnight. But this time notification was issued by the finance division at around 2 am after a delay of 2 hours.
According to the notification, the price of petrol has been increased from Rs 235.98 paisa to Rs 237.43 paisa. The price of high speed diesel is maintained at Rs 247.43 paisa.

Apart from this, the price of kerosene has reduced by Rs 8.30 from Rs 210.32 to Rs 202.2.
The price of light diesel oil has been reduced by Rs 4.26 from Rs 201.54 to Rs 197.28.
The price revision was supposed to be done after September 15, but the Muslim League (N)-led coalition government remained in a quandary over the issue.
