Petrol price increased by Rs 10 per liter

The federal government has increased the price of petrol by Rs 10 per liter, after which the price of petrol has increased from Rs 272 to Rs 282 per liter.

The Ministry of Finance has issued a notification regarding changes in the prices of petroleum products.

The price of high speed diesel is Rs 293 and the price of light diesel oil is Rs 174.68 paisa per liter.

According to the notification, the price of kerosene has increased by Rs 5.78 paisa per liter.

Finance minister announced the hike in a late-night live address, during which he said the prices of diesel and light diesel oil would remain unchanged at Rs293 and Rs174.68, respectively.

The minister said the prices of petroleum products had increased in the international market in the past 15 days.

Last month, fuel consumption jumped by 5pc from a year earlier to a record 4.83 million barrels per day.
