Petroleum Dealers Postponed Countrywide Strike for 2 Days

Petroleum Dealers Postponed Countrywide Strike for 2 Days. The Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association (PPDA) has announced a postponement of its intended two-day nationwide fuel pump shutdown strike.

Negotiations with the state minister for petroleum, Musadik Malik, led to the choice. The news reports that Musadik Malik traveled to Karachi to persuade PPDA to end the nationwide strike.

The PPDA announced to postpone the strike for two days because they said they might hold additional talks with the government after that time.

Govt cuts petrol & diesel prices

In response to the inflation crisis, the PPDA had previously announced a nationwide shutdown of fuel pumps beginning on July 22.

The association emphasized that their business has suffered from declining sales and Iranian fuel smuggling. In order to address their concerns, the PPDA urged a review of the dealership margin.
