Power outage ended across the country: Energy minister

Claims are being made across the country to end load shedding and reduce the overall power shortfall to zero.

According to sources in the Power Division, the total demand for electricity at present is 20,000 MW while the supply is 20,000 MW.

According to sources, load shedding is not taking place anywhere in the country at present.

Sources in the power division said that the demand for electricity has come down by 5,000 MW due to Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.

According to the Power Division, uninterrupted power supply has been started from May 1 as per the promise of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

Load shedding in the country has been reduced to zero from 5 am on Sunday. The government has decided not to carry out load shedding for three days of Eid-ul-Fitr.
