President Arif Alvi and Ishaq Dar meet again for the second time in 17 days to bring the government and PTI to the negotiating table and reduce political bitterness.
According to a report, while the meeting reflects the government’s intention to sit down with the PTI to reduce political tension. The government has so far stuck to its position that it will only sit down with the PTI.
In this case, there will be a willingness to negotiate if the negotiations are unconditional and without any pressure.
In a meeting with President Arif Alvi, Ishaq Dar informs him about the economic situation of the country. And the measures taken by the government to provide relief to the affected citizens.
According to the President’s House, several issues related to the economic situation, the economy and the rehabilitation of the flood victims also discussed in this meeting.
Government sources says that after PTI Chairman Imran Khan and Punjab CM Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi seems reluctant to dissolve the Punjab Assembly. The Muslim League (N) dampened its efforts to present a no-confidence motion against Pervaiz Elahi.
Later, President Arif Alvi give an interview to private TV channel and says that he give some suggestions to Ishaq Dar for formal talks between the government and PTI.
He said that during the meeting with Ishaq Dar, early elections were also discussed. When contacted, a senior PML-N leader, on condition of anonymity, said the government is ready to hold talks with the PTI provided the talks are unconditional.

He said that if Imran Khan puts pressure on the government to give a final date for early elections, it will be unacceptable.
