Prime Minister rejected the summary to increase in petroleum products prices

A notification has been issued for the prices of petroleum products.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the current prices will remain the same till May 15.

The Ministry of Finance has issued notification of prices of petroleum products from May 1 to 15.

According to the notification, the price of petrol will remain unchanged at Rs 149.86, high speed diesel at Rs 144.15 per liter, while kerosene will be sold at Rs 125.56 per liter and light diesel at Rs 118.31 per liter.

According to the Finance Ministry, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif had rejected the summary of increase in prices of petroleum products, saying that prices should be maintained so as not to impose burden on the people.

It may be recalled that the new government of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif had decided to maintain the prices of petroleum products for the last fortnight as well.

In February, then-Prime Minister Imran Khan announced a four-month reduction in petrol and diesel prices by Rs 10 per liter.
