PTI agrees not to take confidence vote on January 9

PTI chairman Imran Khan agreed to postpone the process of taking the vote of confidence from Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi until the court’s decision.

Earlier Imran Khan and party leader Fawad Chaudhry insisted that a vote of confidence must taken before the hearing on January 11 in the Lahore High Court.

In order to convince Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi in this regard, Chairman PTI also send a delegation to the residence of the Chief Minister on December 24. But the leader of PML-Q and former Federal Minister Moonis Elahi insisted Imran Khan to wait for the court order.

Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi was also insisting that unlike Imran Khan’s views, the governor’s order has no constitutional status. And taking the vote of confidence will validate the governor’s order.

This statement displeases the former prime minister. Who in his response warns that if there was any obstacle to the dissolution of the assembly. Then he would instruct the PTI MNAs to resign.

The former prime minister discussed the political situation in a consultative meeting with Punjab ministers at his Zaman Park residence. And apparently came to the conclusion that his advisers were not giving him the right advice on the confidence vote.

It is agreed that the vote of confidence will not included in agenda of Jan 9 meeting of the Assembly.

In view of the economic crisis, some ministers advise Imran Khan to leave the government after this month.

In this situation, PTI should not take responsibility for the mistakes of PDM government and empowered forces.

Agreeing with the opinion, Imran Khan directed the party leaders to be fully prepared for the next general elections.
