PTI approved 467,000 new gas connections in a year in spite of the energy crisis. For the first time, 5 licenses were issued for the LPG Road Bowsers, the report determined.
According to the annual report 2020-21 released by Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), as many as 35409 new gas connections were supplied in the financial year 2020-21 for the Punjab province. Around 77152 new gas consumers were further in Sindh, 66209 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and 18284 connections were issued for Balochistan. The report additional stated that 421 new villages were connected to the gas network throughout the said year.
Oil companies built 95,379 metric tons of supplementary oil storage and 45360 metric tons of diesel storage in the country, the report further.

A storage capacity of 5019 metric tons of petrol has been constructed in the country in the financial year.
OGRA restored 8272 complaints in a year whereas it provided relief worth Rs 118.3 million to gas consumers.
