Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) National Assembly member and well-known TV anchor Dr. Amir Liaquat Hussain has died at the age of 49.
DIG East, Muqaddas Haider, while confirming the death of Amir Liaquat, said that the Member of Assembly had fallen ill during the night and this morning when his condition worsened, he was shifted to Agha Khan Hospital where doctors confirmed his death.
He said that the body of Amir Liaquat is being shifted to Jinnah Hospital for postmortem.
PTI leader Jamal Siddiqui says that an employee of Amir Liaquat informed about his death.
The hospital management has also confirmed the news while the sources said that the cause of death of Amir Liaquat will be known only after the postmortem.
It should be noted that Amir Liaquat Hussain had been facing serious problems in his private life for some time and his third marriage ended in divorce.

National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf has adjourned the sitting till 5 pm on Friday after receiving the news of the demise of the Member National Assembly.
