PTI MPs and allies disagreement on assemblies dissolution

On the other hand, PTI insiders claim that the opinion of party MPs and allies is still divided on the issue of dissolution of assemblies.

An important provincial minister says, “Most of the PTI MPs believe that the dissolution of the assemblies does not make any sense from the electoral and political point of view.”

Advising to adopt realism, he says, ‘PTI MPs have this opinion for 2 reasons. Imran Khan does not consult them before announcing it in Rawalpindi rally. He never ever bother to tell him what benefits the party will gain by vacating the National Assembly seats earlier’.

Further he says that ‘funds have just started flowing into our constituencies. At this stage the dissolution of the assemblies is sure to cause electoral disaster. The flow of funds will stop and Tehreek-e-Insaaf will fight as an opposition party in the next elections’.

He says that ‘if one evaluates the current situation in a rational manner, this decision hardly makes any sense from a political point of view’.
